A Thank you Note #1
Who would’ve thought these days would come where masking
your face is advised rather than showing your true self. It isn’t really an
issue because people don’t have to mask their smiles anymore over this
disheartening pandemic. The masks haven’t only replaced the colour of lipstick
on our lips but also the colour of our lives.
Everyone is hearing the same slogans every day, “Stay Safe,
Stay Home, Sanitize!”. But only because of the doctors of our nation, we are
living in faith and not fear;
The doctors who are working so hard for keeping us alive by holding
to our souls by pulling on a rope of credence; The doctors who, just like Lord
Krishna, are balancing their shield and services on their fingers and keeping
the virus from touching mother Earth; The doctors who are going arm to arm and
wrestling with the devil in disguise; The doctors who are trying to hold our
hands from across the walls by fighting against the green sorrows; The doctors
who are holding the earth like a cotton ball in their hands and blowing the
fibres of the virus off of us; The doctors, whose families are holding on to
them from a rope of hope while they swim in the waters of the virus for us.
I have heard before that doctors are angels in disguise. But
I would like to disagree. Because they aren’t just angels. They are gods to
pray to.
